Truecaller has introduced a new Live Caller ID feature for iPhone users that streamlines the process of finding caller details. By including Apple’s virtual assistant, the platform allows users to quickly find the information they need. However, not everyone can use this feature, as there are some limitations.

By simply saying “Hey Siri, search Truecaller” during an incoming call, the app instantly retrieves the number and presents relevant information at the top of the calling screen. However, this new feature is only for Truecaller premium customers and is available only on devices running iOS 16 or higher. In short, users have to buy a premium subscription to access the latest updates.

Truecaller Latest Update Uses for iPhone Siri Shortcuts And the intent of the app is to generate search results natively. The update aims to provide iPhone users with a new level of convenience by eliminating the need for manual number searches or widget copy-pasting. The company emphasized that the Live Caller ID with Siri feature searches the entirety of Truecaller’s database, resulting in information of the same quality as Truecaller on Android.

To activate the Live Caller ID feature on Truecaller iphoneUsers will first need to access the Premium tab within the app and select ‘Add to Siri’. This function enables adding shortcuts to the device with a single tap. On using the feature for the first time, the user will be asked to grant Truecaller access. It is advised to select ‘Always allow’ to avoid subsequent prompts. Once Siri Shortcuts is set up, users can activate the feature by simply saying ‘Hey Siri, search truecaller’, which will provide instant caller information.

Apart from the Live Caller ID feature, the latest Truecaller update also gives users the ability to view numbers marked as spam and add comments to them. Users can now view feedback from others about spammers and report their own experience with unknown calls. In addition, the update includes a revamped SMS filtering feature that automatically categorises incoming messages into different groups such as Finance, Orders, Reminders, Coupons, Offers and Junk. This feature is currently available for iOS 16 and later editions in India, South Africa and Nigeria. Truecaller has said that this feature will soon be rolled out in other countries as well.
