After a promising start at the box office, Yami Gautam starrer ‘Article 370’ has slowed down. The film earned Rs 35.6 crore in its first week, added another Rs 22.3 crore at the end of its second week.
On Friday, ‘Article 370’ saw a drop of 10 percent and earned Rs 1.65 crore, taking its 15 day total to Rs 59.55 crore, reports Sacnilk. Yami Gautam’s political drama released on February 23 and clashed with Vidyut Jammwal starrer action entertainer ‘Crakk’.
Thanking the audience for making the film a huge success, Yami had shared on X, “When we were making Article 370, so many people told us that this film won’t work with the audience, ‘it’s too technical, too many political jargons etc etc’. But we went ahead with our gut because we knew those naysayers were underestimating our audience. Thank you all for proving them absolutely wrong. Thank you so much for giving so much love to our small little film, with a big heart. We are humbled and will remain forever grateful to all of you. Dhanyawaad (thank you)! Jai Hind!”
‘Article 370’ is directed by Aditya Suhas Jambhale and also features Priyamani, Arun Govil and Kiran Karmarkar in pivotal roles.
