Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal will meet Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) President Sharad Pawar in Mumbai on Thursday. Kejriwal and his party colleague and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann reached Mumbai on Tuesday evening.

The two chief ministers on Wednesday met Shiv Sena (UBT) president Uddhav Thackeray at his residence in Mumbai to seek his support for AAP’s fight against the central government’s ordinance to control services in Delhi. After meeting Thackeray, Kejriwal claimed that the ordinance meant that the Narendra Modi government did not trust the Supreme Court.

He also said that state governments are being brought down using the CBI and ED. The Center last Friday promulgated an ordinance to create an authority for transfer and posting of Group-A officers in Delhi, which the AAP government termed as a hoax with the Supreme Court’s judgment on deregulation of services.

The ordinance came a week after the Supreme Court handed over control of services in Delhi, except police, public order and land, to the elected government. The ordinance seeks to set up a National Capital Civil Services Authority for disciplinary proceedings against and transfers of the Danix cadre. an officer. Supporting Kejriwal, Thackeray said the Supreme Court order is important for democracy.

We have come together to defeat those who oppose democracy. If our train is missed this time, there will be no democracy in the country. Thackeray said, we have come together to save the country and the Constitution. On Tuesday, Kejriwal and Mann met West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee in Kolkata as part of their nationwide tour to drum up support for AAP’s fight against the Centre’s ordinance.
