Ashish Vidyarti recently made headlines by remarrying at the age of 57. The National Award-winning actor tied the knot with Rupali Baruah, a fashion entrepreneur from Assam. The actor was earlier married to Rajoshi aka Peelu Vidyarthi. Now, the actress has opened up again about tying the knot and how she met her second wife.
Speaking to The Telegraph-T2, Ashish Vidyarti said, “Last year after I was done with Peelu, I met Rupali during one of my vlogging assignments and we started chatting and we came to know that she was also dealing with her pain. She lost. Her husband five years ago and did not think of marriage again, but when we talked, we found that there is a possibility that she can look at life afresh and get married. I feel amazing that I am with someone who probably had her own life too and maybe was looking at life a little differently….she is 50 and I am 57 Why not?My main line is to fulfill your responsibilities and that has been the main thing for me.
The actor also spoke about how painful his divorce with his first wife Rajoshi has been. “Peelu and I are moving forward with wonderful memories of a wonderful marriage. I never associated Peelu as my son’s mother. Peelu was my friend…my wife…she was like that to me. Thi…please don’t think it all happened without pain. There is pain in parting. it’s very difficult. Now, I’m being clinical about this, but both Peelu and me and Mowgli have gone through pain….but then you have a choice do you want to deal with it or do you want to live with it? Then life goes on,” said Ashish.
For the unversed, Ashish and Rupali’s wedding ceremony took place in Calcutta, which was attended by their close family members and close friends. After the wedding, the couple plans to host a reception to celebrate their union with their extended circle of friends and relatives.
