Suniel Shetty’s recent remark has sparked rumours about his daughter Athiya Shetty and cricketer KL Rahul expecting their first child. The news has surely left fans excited. However, nothing has been made official. Veteran actor Suniel Shetty made a statement on his appearance on the popular reality show Dance Deewane.

Suniel Shetty is currently judging the dance reality show Dance Deewane. In the latest episode, which was called Grandparents Special, host Bharti Singh humorously told Suniel how he has to behave when he becomes a nana (grandfather), as no kid can handle such a cool grandparent. Reacting to it, he said, “Yes, next season when I come I will be walking on the stage like a Nana.” This statement immediately grabbed everyone’s attention.

Athiya Shetty and KL Rahul got married on January 23, 2023, in a South Indian wedding ceremony. Their wedding was an intimate ceremony that took place at Suniel Shetty’s spacious Khandala mansion.

In an exclusive chat with News18, the Main Hoon Na actor had once spoken about working out and jamming with his son-in-law. “I train with Ahan (Shetty, son) and Rahul as much to understand their kind of training because it’s absolutely different. Athletes train on a completely different level. We, actors, train to beautify our bodies but they’re trying to take it to the next level. Fielding and batting and its speed has changed completely. Learning from him is my biggest lesson,” he says.

Meanwhile, Suniel Shetty will be returning to the iconic Hera Pheri franchise with Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal. The much-awaited film had made headlines over rumours and speculations of Kartik Aaryan replacing Akshay Kumar. The film will go on floors soon.

On the work front, Athiya made her Bollywood debut with Hero in 2015 with Sooraj Pancholi. The actress was featured in ‘Mubarakan’ and was last seen in ‘Motichoor Chaknachoor’ with Nawazuddin Siddiqui.
