Audi ploughs into toilet – Five injured | Noida News – Times of India

Noida: A speeding Audi crashed into the wall of a public toilet near Botanical Garden metro station late on Tuesday night, leaving its five passengers in the car injured, police said.
A video of the incident, circulated several times on social media, shows a large hole in the toilet’s wall with loose bricks left strewn across the pavement.
Police said the Audi’s driver apparently had lost control of the vehicle and ploughed into the roadside utility around 11.30pm.A team from Sector 39 police station reached the spot after passersby called the emergency helplines.
“The Audi, with Haryana registration, was heading from Sector 18 to 37 when it rammed into the public washroom located next to a bus stand in Sector 37,” additional DCP (Noida) Manish Mishra said.
The five people who were in the luxury car — Gaurav Singh, Sagar, Amit, Harsh, and Ayushi — are all residents of Delhi. They were taken to a nearby private hospital for treatment.
“Gaurav Singh, who was at the wheel, sustained serious injuries and got a few stitches. The others sustained minor cuts and bruises,” Mishra said.
A total of 1,176 road crashes left 470 dead and 858 injured last year. In the preceding year, there were 437 deaths in 1,122 accidents, while over 850 people were injured in 2022.
