This weekend is expected to be full of action, drama, romance and suspense with the release of titles like Baawaal, Trial Period and Kaalkoot. If you are confused about the options, below is a list of some of the best OTT releases of this week, which makes sure that you do not miss out on any dose of entertainment.

Bawal

The film stars Varun Dhawan and Ajay Dixit in lead roles Janhvi Kapoor As Nisha, it is located at the heart of Lucknow. It touches upon themes and events surrounding World War II. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and Ashwini Iyer Tiwari under Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment and Earthsky Pictures. The gripping narrative takes viewers on a never-before-seen journey through Europe. It will be released on Prime Video on 21 July.

Trial Period

Genelia Deshmukh and Manav Kaul starrer ‘Trial Period’ is a slice-of-life drama that showcases a sweet tale of unconventional family bonding. Written and directed by Aleya Sen, the film is an emotional rollercoaster, and highlights the love and complexities of modern dysfunctional families. The film follows the journey of single mother Ana, played by Genelia, whose world is turned upside down when her inquisitive son demands a father for a 30-day trial period. Innocent coercion leads to the arrival of a disciplinarian Prajapati Dwivedi from Ujjain, lovingly known as PD, played by Manav – the exact opposite of what mother and son expect. What lies ahead is an endearing tale of love and friendship as they navigate the challenges of an unconventional family dynamics, clashing personalities, and blossoming into an unlikely bond. It will premiere on JioCinema on 21 July.

It will premiere on Netflix on July 20.

The science-fiction mystery film, directed by Juel Taylor, stars John Boyega, Teyonah Parris, and Jamie Foxx. David Alan Grier and Kiefer Sutherland will appear in pivotal roles. It will air on Netflix on July 21.
