This weekend is expected to be full of action, drama, romance and suspense with the release of titles like Baawaal, Trial Period and Kaalkoot. If you are confused about the options, below is a list of some of the best OTT releases of this week, which makes sure that you do not miss out on any dose of entertainment.
Bawal
The film stars Varun Dhawan and Ajay Dixit in lead roles Janhvi Kapoor As Nisha, it is located at the heart of Lucknow. It touches upon themes and events surrounding World War II. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and Ashwini Iyer Tiwari under Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment and Earthsky Pictures. The gripping narrative takes viewers on a never-before-seen journey through Europe. It will be released on Prime Video on 21 July.
Trial Period
Genelia Deshmukh and Manav Kaul starrer ‘Trial Period’ is a slice-of-life drama that showcases a sweet tale of unconventional family bonding. Written and directed by Aleya Sen, the film is an emotional rollercoaster, and highlights the love and complexities of modern dysfunctional families. The film follows the journey of single mother Ana, played by Genelia, whose world is turned upside down when her inquisitive son demands a father for a 30-day trial period. Innocent coercion leads to the arrival of a disciplinarian Prajapati Dwivedi from Ujjain, lovingly known as PD, played by Manav – the exact opposite of what mother and son expect. What lies ahead is an endearing tale of love and friendship as they navigate the challenges of an unconventional family dynamics, clashing personalities, and blossoming into an unlikely bond. It will premiere on JioCinema on 21 July.

However, the world around them is full of dark secrets, as hinted in the first look which ends with the revelation that the girl chosen for them by their mother is played by Shweta Tripathi. ‘Kaalkoot’ directed by Sumit Saxena is all set to stream on Jio Cinema from 27th July.

The identity of a tire slasher sends shock waves through Serenity, recalls lead to unexpected consequences, and romantic surprises happen every generation. Throughout the season, the women tackle these problems – and all the complications they cause – with their trademark warmth, humor, and devotion to each other and their loved ones. It will premiere on Netflix on July 20.

It will air on Netflix on July 21.

That is, until the Archangel Gabriel (Jon Hamm) turns up unexpectedly at the door of Aziraphale’s bookstore, with no memory of who he is or how he got there. While Crowley is curious as to why the Archangel has come to the bookstore, Aziraphale is eager to solve the mystery behind Gabriel’s condition.
However, hiding the Archangel from both Heaven and Hell quickly disrupts their lives in unexpected ways. To solve this mystery and thwart Heaven and Hell in the process, the pair will need more than a miracle; They will need to trust each other once again. It stars Michael Sheen and David Tennant as the angel Aziraphale and the demon Crowley, respectively. Also reprising their roles are Jon Hamm as Archangel Gabriel, Dunn McCutchen as Archangel Michael, and Gloria Obianyo as Archangel Uriel.
