Baba Kedarnath’s doli reached Kedarnath Dham in Uttarakhand on Monday afternoon. A large number of devotees were present during this. Flowers were showered on the doli by helicopter. The doors of Kedarnath Dham will open on 25 April. The Chardham Yatra began on Saturday from Akshaya Tritiya. In the next 5 days, Hindu pilgrims will visit Badrinath, Kedarnath, Yamunotri and Gangotri. The portals of Gangotri and Yamunotri opened on 22 April. The doors of Badrinath Dham will be opened on 27th April.

It is raining and snowing intermittently in Kedarnath Dham on Sunday as well. Due to bad weather, the registration of pilgrims for Kedarnath Yatra in Haridwar and Rishikesh has been stopped till April 30. The state government has issued an advisory for the pilgrims. Yatris have been told to keep warm clothes and essential items with them before going to the Dham.

Appeal to inform first if there is illness
The Health Secretary said that there is an appeal to the pilgrims that if the devotees above 55 years of age are suffering from sugar, BP, heart disease etc., then inform them in advance. He said that such devotees would be monitored through Health Service 104.

According to the Health Secretary, this time during the Char Dham Yatra in Uttarakhand, the government has a special focus on the Kedarnath Yatra route. Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Sunday flagged off vehicles equipped with medical facilities for Char Dham Yatra pilgrims in Dehradun.

Two pilgrims died in Yamunotri
On the other hand, another pilgrim died of a heart attack in Yamunotri on Sunday. Dinesh Patidar (40), a resident of Padhaniya tehsil of Khargone district of Madhya Pradesh, died while returning from Yamunotri on Sunday. Earlier on Saturday, Kanak Singh (62) had died. He was a resident of Kaushamba, Surat in Gujarat.
