Bade Miyan Chote Miyan takes a slow start in southern languages despite Prithviraj’s presence | Hindi Movie News – Times of India

It is a given that on festive occasions, big films are released, and this Eid is no different with the release of Ali Abbas Zafar’s Bade Miyan Chote Miyan. The stakes are even higher for the film, not only because it has two leading action stars in Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff, but also because of the presence of south sensation Prithviraj. This combination of best of North meeting best of South was expected to generate a tremendous buzz for the film on both sides, but one is hearing a very eerie silence from the south.
The film is releasing in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam languages and from the three, only Tamil language has gained some traction with Malayalam being the slowest one. As per industry tracker Sacnilk, the film in Tamil has till now sold 2279 ( Rs 186639) tickets while in Telugu it has sold 299 ( Rs 27065) and just 3 ( Rs 660) in Malayalam. The total number of shows slated for all three languages is 281.
In the past few months, Prithviraj has delivered some amazing box office results, be it with Salaar: Part 1- Ceasefire or Aadujeevitham- The Goat Life.
