COIMBATORE: Two anticipatory bail seekers have handed over their fine amount of Rs 1.05 lakh to the dean ESI HospitalCoimbatore, as per the orders issued by the Madras High Court.
In two separate orders on October 20, the Madras High Court ordered the petitioners to pay the fine in the form of a non-refundable deposit. One accused, who was in possession of 101 kg of banned tobacco products, was ordered to pay Rs 1 lakh, while another accused, who was in possession of a lesser quantity of tobacco products, was ordered to pay Rs 5,000. Last week, both the accused handed over the money to Dean. Dr M Ravindran, The amount will be deposited in the Dean’s bank account.
