Military Engineering Services (MES) pays the highest bill, Rs 4.2 crore, while railways Rs 3.7 crore. Mission Bhagiratha, Secunderabad Cantonment Board, MES, Ordnance Factory, South Central Railway, United Breweries Ltd, RGI Airport, Nuclear Fuel Complex, Air Force Academy, Defence Metallurgical Research Lab, police department, Singapore Township, and Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages Limited stand among the top 13 consumers in the city and its outskirts.

United Breweries, manufacturer of a popular beer, pays Rs1.4 crore, while Coca-Cola pays Rs1 crore. Several other beer companies also rank among the top consumers. Crown, SABMiller, United Breweries, and Carlsberg are the main breweries located near Sangareddy.
With India Meteorological Department predicting above normal maximum temperatures in the next three months, the data on top consumers is pertinent. The administration might be forced to put in place measures to use water resources judiciously. HMWSSB earns a revenue of Rs 100 crore through water supply with the majority coming from bulk consumers. HMWSSB director, (revenue), VL Praveen Kumar said, “Regarding beer companies, Manjeera water is supplied as they are located en route from Medak to Hyderabad. Mission Bhagiratha water is supplied to surrounding villages.”
