Karnataka chief minister Siddaramaiah called it a “low-intensity blast caused by an improvised explosive device (IED).”
After the blasts, the cafe owners reported two explosions within a span of only 10 seconds.They stated they are fully cooperating with authorities and extending all possible assistance to the injured individuals.

Rameshwaram Cafe, a popular eatery that witnessed a bomb blast at its Brookefield branch, stated,”We are deeply saddened by the unfortunate incident at our Brookefield branch. We are cooperating with the authorities and officials in their investigations.”

“Two back-to-back blasts in less than 10 seconds! Never ever did I expect that a bomb would explode in our restaurant. It is indeed shocking and I am unable to come to terms with what has happened , ” said Divya Raghavendra Rao.
The Bengaluru Police has registered a case under the stringent Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act and Explosives Substances Act in connection with the explosion at the cafe.

Raghavendra Rao, co-founder and CEO of the cafe, has more than 20 years of experience in the food industry.
Co-founder and MD Divya Raghavendra Rao is a chartered accountant and IIM-Ahmedabad graduate, and she heads the management and finance department.
