Besharam Rang row: Bajrang Dal activists tear posters of Pathans in Ahmedabad

before the release of Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone-starrer Pathan, In Ahmedabad, a group of Bajrang Dal activists vandalized the promotional posters of the film at Ahmedabad One Mall on Wednesday night.

According to informed sources, activists of Bajrang Dal and Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) removed the decorations put up for the promotion of the film outside the Cinepolis multiplex located on the top floor of the biggest mall in Ahmedabad’s posh Vastrapur area.

Angry activists vandalized posters, cut-outs and hoardings, raising slogans against the film’s star cast.

It is not known whether the police have registered a case against those involved in the incident.

Vastrapur police visited the spot and detained five activists, who were later released.

It may be noted that the Gujarat VHP had earlier said that it would not allow screening of the film anywhere in the state, mainly because of the song. Besharam Rang‘, where Deepika is seen dancing with Khan dressed in saffron.
