Stones were pelted on the Dehradun-Delhi Vande Bharat Express train on Sunday. Railway officials said that stones were pelted at E1 coach of Vande Bharat Express near Muzaffarnagar station on Delhi-Dehradun route. No one was injured during this incident. Delhi division has deployed Railway Protection Force (RPF) to nab the culprits. This is the 7th incident of stone pelting on Vande Bharat Express since January.

Landslide in West Sikkim due to rain, 100 houses collapsed and bridge washed away

Incessant rains triggered several landslides in West Sikkim district, damaging around 100 houses and washing away bridges. He said the rains caused flooding in the upper reaches of the College Khola valley, with the maximum impact at Simphok, where a major bridge was washed away.

Kalka mail train in Uttar Pradesh stopped at Etawah due to overloading in parcel coach
The Kalka Mail Superfast train was stopped at Etawah railway station in Uttar Pradesh for about an hour on Sunday due to overloading of goods in the parcel coach of the train. It was later learned that there was overloading of goods in the parcel coach of the train due to which there was problem in running of the train. Station Superintendent and other officials reached the spot and removed some luggage from the train to remove overloading. After about an hour’s effort, the train could run again.

Complete Ganga Expressway by December 2024: Yogi Adityanath
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday directed officials to complete the Ganga Expressway project by December 2024 so that it can be used by devotees coming for the 2025 Kumbh in Prayagraj. He also directed that land should be identified for the industrial cluster along the Ganga Expressway. The 594 km six-lane Ganga Expressway will pass through 12 districts of the state.
