Bhaskar Updates: Supreme Court to hear Teesta’s plea against Gujarat High Court’s decision

Social activist Teesta Setalvad was denied bail by the Gujarat High Court, following which she filed a petition in the Supreme Court against the decision. On Wednesday, a bench of Justices BR Gavai, Eus Bopanna and Dipankar Dutta will hear his petition.

The High Court on Saturday rejected Teesta’s bail plea and asked her to surrender immediately. Teesta Setalvad is accused of fabricating evidence to implicate innocent people in cases related to the 2002 Gujarat riots. Setalvad was arrested on June 25 last year. He was kept in police remand for seven days and was sent to judicial custody on July 2.
