US President Joe Biden said on Thursday that he hoped to meet Xi Jinping in the “near term” even after angering China by calling its leader a “dictator”.
“I look forward to meeting President Xi at some point in the future, in the near future,” Biden said at a joint press conference with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
