Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khawaja Asif said on Friday that former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif would return to Pakistan before the end of the year. He said that no development work was done during the last four years under the PTI government and the present government has told the people about these conditions, the report said. Asif also said that the government took out money from other areas and gave it to the flood victims, who were going through great difficulties due to the cold nights.
The minister said that the federal and provincial governments should provide assistance to disaster victims without any discrimination and that the government was not acting on political priorities.
Earlier this week, Asif said that former prime minister Imran Khan should not “target” the institutions that “unconditionally supported him” during the last four years, adding that the former ruling party chief had given him Couldn’t deliver despite help.
“After 75 years, we are at a point where we can say that all institutions are playing their constitutional role. These institutions have extended ‘unconditional support’ to Imran Khan,” reported the Express Tribune.
