Hajipur ammonia gas leak: In an unfortunate incident, a worker died and over 30 others are undergoing treatment after poisonous ammonia gas leaked from an ammonium cylinder at Raj Fresh Dairy in Vaishali district. The affected people were admitted to Hajipur Sadar Hospital. According to an official, the condition of the admitted patients is currently stable. After the incident, several fire tenders reached the spot to control the situation. Investigation is underway to ascertain the cause.

Civil surgeon Dr. Shyam Nandan Prasad said, “A worker died after poisonous gas leaked from an ammonium cylinder at Raj Fresh Dairy in Vaishali district and around 30-35 others are undergoing treatment at Hajipur Sadar Hospital. Talking to reporters, Dr. Ashok Kumar, DSP, Fire Department, told reporters that the situation is under control and investigation has been initiated into the cause of the leak.
“We received information that there has been a gas leak incident from an ammonium cylinder at Raj Fresh Dairy. Several fire tenders have reached the spot to control the situation. As of now, we have information that some laborers have been hospitalised. We are probing the cause of the leak. The situation is under control now,” said Dr Ashok Kumar.
