Out of a total of 189 projects, 106 buildings worth Rs 1,340.46 crore were inaugurated, while foundation stones were laid for the remaining 83 projects worth Rs 1,189.87 crore.

While laying the foundation stone of new projects, the Chief Minister asked the BCD officials to ensure timely construction of buildings. “If construction agencies are delaying projects, supervise the projects and find out why the work is delayed. Make sure to complete the construction work of all the buildings whose foundation stone has been laid today.
He asked the BCD officials to ensure regular maintenance and proper upkeep of all government buildings, especially the iconic buildings built by his government in recent years. “Huge amount is spent on the construction of government buildings. Proper maintenance of buildings is very essential. All departmental engineers will pay attention to regular maintenance.
The CM also ordered fresh appointments of engineers and staff for maintenance works. “If more engineers, officers and staff are required for the smooth execution of maintenance works, the department should immediately start the process of appointing new staff,” he said.
Deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav, BCD Minister Ashok Kumar Chaudhary, Chief Secretary Amir Subhani and BCD Secretary Kumar Ravi also addressed the program.
