He also observed that the allocation of Krishna water would have a long-lasting impact on the state, as it is a low-lying riparian state, and KCR and KTR should avoid using it to achieve their political objectives, as they are doing in the case of the VSP. Are. privatization.

Mr Reddy also questioned whether former CBI joint director VV Lakshminarayanan, who has been strongly opposing privatization of VSP, can show the same zeal to get Andhra Pradesh its rightful share of Krishna waters.

The BJP leader alleged that Telangana was using a part of Krishna river water, which legitimately belongs to Rayalaseema, for power generation.

He demanded that KCR and KTR should clear their stand on this. He insisted that the Telangana government should also state its reasons for objecting to handing over the projects on the Krishna River to the Krishna River Management Board for operation and maintenance.
