Bjp Slams Tejashwi, Remindshim Of 15-year Rjd ‘misrule’ | Patna News – Times of India

Patna: State BJP functionaries on Thursday slammed former deputy CM Tejashwi Prasad Yadav for seeking votes for the RJD candidates in the name of his party’s chief and father, Lalu Prasad. Tejashwi has been addressing rallies in the four parliamentary constituencies of Jamui, Nawada, Aurangabad and Gaya, going to the polls in the first phase on April 19, invoking his father’s name and calling him “messiah of the poor.”
On Thursday, both national BJP spokesman Ajay Alok and the party’s state spokesman Prabhakar Mishra recalled the bad memories of the 15-year RJD rule (1990 to 2005), and compared it with the achievements made in the 15-year NDA rule in the state under the leadership of CM Nitish Kumar, and in the partnership with PM Modi at the Centre.”Before raising fingers at PM Modi or the BJP, you (Tejashwi) should think one thousand times,” Alok said, adding that increase in the EPFO data from 12 crore to 26 crore in the last 10 years in the country show that the number of people in jobs or working.
“If at all, he (Tejashwi) has to speak, he should speak on the extent of corruption in the rule of his father (Lalu) and mother (Rabri),” Alok said. Noting that the state lacked road and bridge infrastructure and electricity, he added, “Today, he reaches his own native place Phulwaria from Patna in one and half hours, but earlier the same distance used to be covered in five hours.”
Mishra said that neither vacancies in government jobs were announced and nor work opportunities were available due to lack of infrastructure and development activities during Lalu’s governance.
“Moreover, 35,000 employees of dying state government undertakings were not given salaries for years together, as a result of which children of a few of them tried to immolate themselves,” he said.
Mishra added that amid reigning fear of insecurity on account of poor law and order, kidnapping for ransom had turned into an industry. “Mere recalling of those memories gives shivers even today,” Mishra said.
In response, Tejashwi also launched an offensive against PM Modi at his rallies, maintaining that he had not fulfilled the poll promises he had made, including with regard to jobs for the youths, grant of special category status or special package to the state, among others.
