Ranchi: BJP strongly opposed the comments of Congress leader Ajay Kumar About NDA presidential candidate Drupadi Murmu,
Rajya Sabha MP and BJP’s National President of Scheduled Tribes Wing Sameer Oraon said that the Congress should apologize to the nation for insulting the tribal community and a woman who is contesting for the country’s highest post.
The controversy started when AICC in-charge of Sikkim, Tripura and Nagaland Ajay Kumar said that Draupadi Murmu represents a very bad philosophy of India. While talking to a news agency she said, “It is not comparing two candidates, Yashwant Sinha is a very good candidate. Draupadi Murmu is also a decent person but she represents a very bad philosophy of India. Draupadi ji should not be made a symbol of tribal….”
Responding to the statement, Oraon said Congress is unable to accept that a woman from the tribal community has been nominated by the Prime Minister.
