Congratulating the party workers for the victory, BJP state president CP Joshi said that people have raised the alarm against the Congress rule in the state.

Rajasthan’s ruling Congress on Monday won four, the BJP eight and independents two in the urban local body bypolls held for 14 seats in 12 districts of the state.

Voting was held on Sunday and the results were declared on Monday.

State Election Commissioner Madhukar Gupta said in a statement, “Out of a total of 14 ward councillors, eight candidates have been elected from the Bharatiya Janata Party, four from the Congress and two as independents.”

Congratulating the party workers for the victory, BJP state president CP Joshi said that people have raised the alarm against the Congress rule in the state.

Joshi said, “The results proved that the people have raised the alarm against the misrule, corruption and jungle raj of the Congress.”

He said in a statement, ‘The results of the municipal by-elections have proved that the countdown for the Gehlot government has begun.’
