Board Exam Assessment Over, Results Likely By April-end | Ahmedabad News – Times of India

Ahmedabad: The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) has completed the answersheet assessment for Class 10 and Class 12 exams. The board is expected to announce the results for both classes by the end of this month, a month earlier than usual. Sources in the board said data entry for the results is also in its final stages, and once completed, the board will officially declare the results.
For this year’s assessment process, the board initiated answersheet assessment the day after exams ended, deploying approximately 500 data entry operators to prepare results.Usually, the board assigns about 60 data entry operators this task.
The exams began on March 11 and ended on March 26.
Board sources said streamlining the data entry process, which typically takes about 45 days, enabled it to be completed in 20 days this year. This allows the board to expedite the result declaration process by a month compared to previous years.
Traditionally, data entry work begins after the answersheet assessment is completed. However, this year, the board began data entry simultaneously with the answersheet assessment, said sources.
This year, 15.38 lakh students across Class 10, Class 12 science, and Class 12 general streams appeared for exams in the state. This includes 9.17 lakh Class 10 students, 1.32 lakh Class 12 science stream students and 4.89 lakh Class 12 general stream students.
