Twitter link previews are broken on iMessage and Slack. While it’s unclear when Twitter link previews will return to iMessage and Slack, for now, they’re just blurry links, 9To5Mac reports.

Apple’s Rich Media Preview feature on Messages for iPhone, Mac, etc. is affected by this issue.

Several users reported the problem on Twitter.

While one user said, “I’ve noticed that on iPhone leaving a Twitter link in text no longer generates a preview.”

Another posted, “@Twitter is there any problem with sending tweets via SMS? They get a Twitter link but no preview panel/window.”

Normally, users can see the Tweet in the link preview without clicking on it.

If the tweet contains attachments, the micro-blogging platform also provides an image from the tweet.

However, now, the disconnect between Twitter and Apple servers resulted in tweet URLs simply reading “twitter.com” without any context.

Although not as severe, it is reminiscent of Apple’s Lockdown Mode which also prevents links in messages from opening.

“When this happened last year, Twitter had a solution to the problem,” the report said.
