After which the search operation was conducted by BSF. The officials seized about 2.3 kg of heroin, whose market value has been estimated at Rs 12 crore.
A search operation is underway in the entire area as BSF and police are conducting joint raids to nab smugglers who might have come to take delivery of the consignment.
Earlier on Tuesday, near the international border adjacent to the Raisinghnagar area, BSF jawans fired at the Pakistani drone that had entered the Indian territory at the Trishul border outpost. The drone was forced to return to Pakistani territory.
Heroin recovered by BSF is being handed over to the concerned agency.
