Government-owned telecom operator Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited has a new offer for its users. To celebrate the festival of lights, the telecom service provider is offering additional data with a recharge plan this Diwali. BSNL users who recharge their number with the Rs 251 plan will get an additional 3GB of data. However, there’s a catch. Users must recharge their connection through the BSNL Self Careapp to enjoy an additional 3GB of data.The government-run company took to social media platform X to announce the latest offer.

BSNL’s Rs 251 plan comes with 28 days of validity. This data-only plan doesn’t offer any calling or SMS benefits. This work-from-home-focused prepaid plan only offers 70GB of data. If BSNL users recharge their connections with the Rs 251 plan via the Self Care mobile app will be able to get an additional 3GB of data as part of the company’s Diwali offer. It is important to note that the extra data will only be offered to customers who recharge their numbers from the BSNL app.

BSNL’s other Diwali offers
Last month, the telco also announced additional data as part of another Diwali offer. Users who buy the Rs 666 plan from the BSNL Self Care app will also get 3GB of extra data. However, this is not a data-only plan as it supports unlimited local/STD, 100 SMS/day and 2GB data per day along with subscriptions to BSNL tune, Astrotell and GameOn services. The Rs 666 plan has a validity of 105 days.
BSNL is also offering 3GB extra data with the Rs 599 recharge plan which has 84 days of validity. This plan also offers unlimited local and STD calls, 3GB data per day, 100 SMS per day as well as subscriptions to Zing, PRBT, Astrotell and Game On services. This plan also offers unlimited free night data.
