Jennifer Gates, the eldest child of Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates and his ex-wife Melinda French Gates, welcomed their first child with husband Nayel Nasser last month. She took to Instagram to announce the good news. The grandparents were overjoyed by the announcement and have now shared pictures on social media with their first grandchild.

In a photo posted by the Microsoft co-founder on Instagram, he can be seen dressed in a navy blue sweatshirt and pants and touching his granddaughter’s little fingers. The child is seen wearing an attractive pink colored dress. He captioned the post, “I can’t wait for you to discover the world.”

The new grandmother also shared a photo of herself holding her granddaughter on social media. Ms. Melinda is seen smiling at the camera as she holds her granddaughter to her chest. He is wearing orange top and black trouser. The philanthropist wrote in the caption, “There’s nothing quite like holding my first grandchild. It feels like just yesterday I held Jane at this age. Now she has a child of her own—and I love her more.” Bursting with pride seeing Nayel’s steps.” In their new role as parents.”

Many people including Nobel Peace Prize winner Malala Yousafzai, Union Minister Smriti Irani and YouTuber Nas Daily congratulated the grandparents.

Bill and Melinda Gates’ eldest daughter Jennifer tied the knot with Nayel Nasser in 2021 at their home in Westchester, New York. Mr. Nasser is an Egyptian horseman.

Responding to the news that his daughter was pregnant, Bill Gates wrote in a blog last year that he “recently began to see the world through a new lens – when my eldest daughter gave me the incredible news that I would be born next year.” I’ll be a grandfather.”

He said, “Just typing that phrase, ‘I’ll be a grandpa next year,’ makes me emotional. And that thought gives a whole new dimension to my work. When I think about the world in which my grandson is born, I’m more motivated than ever to help give everyone’s children and grandchildren a chance to survive and thrive.”
