Car Mows Down Woman Crossing Road Near Office | Gurgaon News – Times of India

Gurgaon: A woman crossing a road below the elevated Sohna-Gurgaon highway was crushed to death by a car on Friday morning.
The woman, accompanied by her husband, was on her way to work when the speeding car hit her from behind.
The deceased, Asha, worked at Everest Business Advisory India in Sector 47. Asha’s husband, Sanjay, lodged a complaint at Sadar police station against the driver, who fled the spot.
The accident occurred around 9.30am near Tikri cut, Sanjay said in his complaint.The impact of the collision hurled Asha in the air and caused severe injuries. She was rushed to Park Hospital, where doctors declared her dead on arrival.
Assistant sub-inspector (ASI) Pravinder and constable Mukesh met the woman’s family members at the hospital. They collected documents related to the accident from the hospital. “Based on the complaint and medical documents, a case was registered under sections 279 (rash driving or riding on a public way) and 304 A (causing death by negligence) of the Indian Penal Code. We will soon arrest the accused,” ASI Pravinder said.
In another incident on Friday, the gardening supervisor of Vipul Belamonte society was run over by a car in DLF-5 while he was riding a bicycle to work.
Police in the area rushed him to the hospital where he is currently undergoing treatment for fractures and internal bleeding. No FIR has been lodged so far.
On March 13, a quality inspector at an automotive company in Nuh was killed and his colleague injured after a speeding vehicle rammed into their bike from behind on the Sohna-Gurgaon road in Alipur. The two were on their way back home from the factory in Nuh when the accident took place.
