Case Booked By Puttur Police Over Derogatory Fb Post | Mangaluru News – Times of India

Mangaluru: Puttur Town police have initiated action against a derogatory post on Facebook attributed to Praveen Maddadka.
Raju Hosmata, the district president, Ambedkar Apatbandhava, lodged a formal complaint.
‘Intent to incite animosity’
He alleged that the post by Praveen Maddadka on Facebook, observed on March 21, was intended to incite animosity among different castes and communities, as well as to disrupt communal harmony.Acting upon the complaint, the police have registered a case under IPC Sections 153A (promoting enemity between different groups and 295A (deliberate and malicious acts, intended to outrage religious feelings of any class).
