Leader of Opposition Ramveer Singh Bidhuri said on Monday that if AAP’s allegation of implicating former ministers Manish Sisodia and Satyendar Jain in false cases is true, then why both are not getting bail.

Speaking in the Assembly, Mr Bidhuri said the cases against Mr Sisodia by the Central Bureau of Investigation and the Enforcement Directorate in connection with the alleged liquor scam were based on a report by Chief Secretary Naresh Kumar.

The Chief Secretary has written in his report that without the approval of the Lieutenant Governor, Sisodia changed the excise policy. He [Sisodia] Waived off license fee of Rs 144.36 crore to companies, removed import duty on beer to benefit license holders and refunded Rs 30 crore to a company for non-compliance of conditions which should have been forfeited,” BJP MLA said.

“Sisodia has been in jail for almost two months and Jain for almost a year, but despite their repeated attempts, no court is accepting their bail,” Mr. Bidhuri said.

He said the court had made strong remarks against both the AAP leaders while rejecting their bail pleas. “Are the courts too biased? The Chief Minister should answer this.

The Badarpur MLA asked AAP leaders to be careful while leveling allegations against central probe agencies.
