CBCS: Governor reviews progress of CBCS in state universities Patna News – Times of India

Patna: Governor cum Chancellor of State Universities Rajendra Vishwanath ArlekarOn Friday, a meeting was held with Vice Chancellors (VCs) of state universities and officials of the Higher Education Department to review the progress and implementation of the Choice-Based Credit System.CBCS) in the State Universities from the current academic session (2023-27).
The Governor also made a surprise visit to the answer book evaluation center of Patliputra University (PPU) here on Saturday.
According to Raj Bhavan Officials, the four-year CBCS is to be implemented in the undergraduate (UG) level semester-based courses in state universities from this year. Arlekar asked the universities to complete all the necessary formalities within the stipulated time so that the students seeking admission to the four-year CBCS courses are not put to loss due to any lapse on the part of the universities. Arlekar said, “The implementation of the new CBCS courses is likely to bring about the desired quality change in the overall higher education scenario in Bihar.” Meanwhile, the Governor, during his surprise visit to Patliputra University (PPU), interacted with the examiners to get first-hand knowledge about the coding and decoding process.
