Defense Minister Rajnath Singh inaugurated the first Heritage Center of the Indian Air Force by cutting the ribbon. In the morning, he reached the first Heritage Center of the Air Force set up at the Government Press Building, Sector-18. He is accompanied by Punjab Governor and Chandigarh Administrator Banwarilal Purohit and MP Kirron Kher.

The Defense Minister took stock of the MiG 21 installed here. He sat in the cockpit and also posed for a group photo outside the MiG 21. Air Chief Marshal VR Chowdhary is also present. A white tent has been put up outside the heritage centre. There was a traffic jam in Sector 9 located in Madhya Marg due to diversion of traffic.

This heritage center is spread over an area of ​​17 thousand square feet. An MoU was signed on 3 June 2022 to set up this centre. The Air Force has handed over the Heritage Center to the Chandigarh Administration. After this, Chandigarh Administrator Banwarilal Purohit presented a memento to the Defense Minister.
