Chiranjeevi happy to become parents of Ram Charan and Upasana, says ‘was waiting for years’ – News18

Megastar Chiranjeevi became a grandfather on Tuesday (June 20) after Ram Charan and Upasana were blessed with a baby girl. Hours later, the Godfather actor was speaking to the media when he mentioned that he was “overjoyed” at the birth of his granddaughter and added that he had been waiting for this day for years.

“Our entire family is very happy. This girl means a lot to us. We were waiting for years to see Ram Charan and Upasana as parents. After many years, the divine grace granted our request. We are showered with love and wishes from our friends, families, well-wishers and fans across the globe who always take our happiness for granted.”

Chiranjeevi further expressed his heartfelt gratitude to those who sent well wishes to the family. He shared that Charan’s daughter was born in an auspicious time. He also mentioned how a baby girl showed many positive traits even before her birth. “Even before the birth, we saw positive signs. Charan’s growth in the industry, his achievements, and recently Varun Tej’s engagement are some of the happy events that have happened. Looking at all the good moments in our lives, I feel That it’s because of the positivity that this newborn girl is bringing.”

“Our family worships Anjaneya Swamy (Lord Hanuman). Tuesday is their day, and we are grateful that the baby was born on this auspicious day. The best team of doctors from Apollo handled the delivery without any hassle. Thank you very much everyone,” concluded the actor.

On Tuesday, Chiranjeevi was seen visiting the little princess at the hospital in Hyderabad. He also called the little girl a ‘mega princess’ on Twitter. “Welcome Little Mega Princess !! ❤️❤️❤️ You have brought joy to a mega family of millions with your arrival as much as you have made blessed parents @AlwaysRamCharan & @upasanakonidela and us grandparents, happy and proud!!” they wrote.

Ram Charan and Upasana welcomed their first child after being married for 11 years. The couple announced they were expecting their first child together in December last year.
