City Girl Wins Letter Writing Competition | Kanpur News – Times of India

Kanpur: Pragya Dixit was felicitated by the postal department for standing first in state-level letter writing competition “Dhai Akhar” on Tuesday. The topic for letter was ‘India for New India’.
Kanpur GPO’s chief postmaster Shambu Rai presented Pragya cash prize of Rs 25,000 and a certificate.
Deputy chief post masters II & I Ajay Pratap Singh and Ravi Kumar respectively, PN Gupta, Pradyumn Singh, Nagesh Chandra Sachan, Sharada Dwivedi and others were present on this occasion.
Chief post master said that a Philately Bureau of the postal department is situated in the second floor of GPO. Special stamps and folders released from time to time were available there, he said. “Philately is termed as the hobby of kings and king of hobbies”, he said and added, “The stamp lovers can purchase special stamps from the Philately Bureau.” tnn
