Cloudy Sky & Mist Likely, Air Quality Still In ‘poor’ Zone | Noida News – Times of India

NOIDA: The weather officials have forecast a partly cloudy sky and mist in Noida and Ghaziabad on Tuesday morning; however, the sky will clear up later in the day.
According to Skymet Weather Services, there is no forecast of dense fog or rainfall in Delhi-NCR over the next few days.

Meanwhile, the air qualityimproved marginally on Monday but remained in the ‘poor’ category in Noida and Ghaziabad.Noida, Greater Noida, and Ghaziabad recorded Air Quality Index (AQI) of 255, 257, and 248, respectively, against Sunday’s 296, 300 and 283.
In Noida, Sector 116 air monitoring station recorded the worst AQI of 271, followed by Sector 62 recording 268, Sector 1 having an AQI of 256, and Sector 125 having a reading of 215 – all in the ‘poor’ category. In Greater Noida, Knowledge Park V station recorded an AQI of 270, and Knowledge Park III station had an AQI of 245 – both in the ‘poor’ category.
In Ghaziabad, Sanjay Nagar logged an AQI of 260, followed by Loni (258), Vasundhara (236), and Indirapuram (223), all in the ‘poor’ category.
The System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting and Research (SAFAR) said in a bulletin, “The predominant surface wind is likely to be coming from the northwest direction in Delhi-NCR with a wind speed of 12-16 kmph. This is likely to keep the air quality in the ‘poor’ zone,” stated the bulletin.
