The results of the civic elections in UP have come. BJP government has been formed in the cities. Earlier, for 30 days the star players of the parties did marathon campaigning. The contest was between BJP and SP. The command was with Captain CM Yogi and former CM Akhilesh Yadav of both the parties. Now it’s time to analyze the performance of both, so let’s read in today’s Sunday Big Story… The rallies of Yogi and Akhilesh and the strike rate of their victory…

First thing about Municipal Corporation seats…

  • Yogi held rally in all 17 municipal corporation seats. Out of this, BJP has won all 17. That is, the strike rate of victory has been 100%.
  • Akhilesh did roadshows and rallies on 7 municipal corporation seats. SP lost all 7 seats. Out of these, the SP came third in three seats.

Now talk about municipality seats..

  • Yogi held road shows and rallies in 44 districts. Through this he covered 106 municipality seats. Of these, the BJP won about 42 seats. That is, Yogi’s victory strike in the municipality has been 40%.
  • There are a total of 19 municipality seats in the 10 districts where Akhilesh held roadshows and rallies. Out of these, SP won only 3 seats. Means Akhilesh’s strike rate of victory in the municipality has been 15%.

Now let’s know the calculation of 17 municipal corporation seats..

SP lost to BSP-Congress, AIMIM on 7 mayoral seats

The BJP has done a clean sweep on all the 17 seats in the Municipal Corporation. SP, BSP and Congress have been reduced to zero. In Municipal Corporation, SP has been third on 7 seats and second on 8 seats. Out of these, 7 seats are such where BSP had fielded Muslim candidates. Because of this, there has been a division among the Muslim voters and the SP has been relegated to the second or third position.

Now let’s talk about the mirror of the record.

BJP captured Ghaziabad, Agra, Varanasi for the 7th time in a row

Varanasi, Ghaziabad and Agra are the municipal corporation seats where the BJP has got a mayor for the 7th time in a row. Apart from this, BJP is seen getting 10 to 15 seats in Municipal President and 95 to 100 seats in Nagar Panchayat President.

Now know, 2 big reasons behind BJP’s clean sweep-

FirstUpper caste voters have proved to be a fortune maker for the BJP in UP, especially in municipal seats. Out of the 17 municipal corporations that the BJP has won, 11 seats have more than 50% upper caste voters. There are more than 40% in 5 seats. Only one seat was Agra, where upper caste voters are 34%.

second- BSP. The Muslim seats on which SP had fielded its candidates. The BSP had also fielded Muslim candidates there. Apart from this, BSP had fielded Muslim candidates in 11 out of 17 seats. While SP had fielded Muslims on 4 seats. Because of this, the Muslim vote got divided between the two parties. The result was that neither BSP could win nor SP got victory. Owaisi’s party also cut the votes of SP.

Now understand.. the body election results and the advantages and disadvantages of the parties..
