Congress gets the maximum number of seats in Karnataka after 34 years: BJP is no longer in power in the southern states; wrestling association banned

Congress has won 135 out of 224 seats in Karnataka. Whereas BJP was reduced to only 66 seats. This is the biggest victory of the Congress in the state in the last 34 years. Earlier in the year 1989, Congress had won 178 seats and BJP got only 4 seats. With this victory, there is no BJP government in any southern state (Karnataka, Kerala, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu).

Congress had defeated BJP in Himachal too 5 months back. Elections are due in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh by the end of this year. The Congress had won all these three states in 2018. However, later BJP formed the government in Madhya Pradesh due to the manipulations of the MLAs.

The Indian Olympic Association (IOA) has suspended all office-bearers of the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI). The wrestling association has been asked to immediately hand over all the documents, accounts and entry information to be sent for foreign tournaments. The Sports Ministry has also ordered to conduct the Federation elections within 45 days.

1. Candidates lost by less than 1000 votes on 7 seats, Rahul said – will fulfill 5 promises in the first meeting

The Janata Dal (Secular) has won 19 seats in the Karnataka Assembly elections. There were 7 seats where the candidates lost by a margin of less than 1000 votes. Of these, 5 candidates were from Congress while 2 candidates were from BJP. In terms of vote share, Congress got 42.9%, BJP 36%, while JDS got 13.3% votes. CM Basavaraj Bommai and his 11 ministers won, but 11 ministers lost.

Congress President DK Shivakumar won the Kanakapura seat by a record 1,22,392 votes. Rahul Gandhi said- Karnataka has shown that the country loves love. Our main 5 promises will be fulfilled in the very first cabinet meeting. At the same time, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge said – BJP used to taunt that Congress will create a free India. The Indian Olympic Association (IOA) has suspended all office-bearers of the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI). Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, surrounded by allegations of sexual exploitation, has completed three terms of 4 years as WFI President. As per the Sports Code, he is now disqualified to contest for the post. Here, Brij Bhushan has also made it clear that he will not contest the election of the Speaker.

He has not said that he will not contest the elections. Just refused to contest the election for the post of president. Following the first strike by wrestlers in January, the Sports Ministry had asked Brij Bhushan to stay away from all activities of the federation. Also, its operation was entrusted to the Oversight Committee constituted by IOA. According to the paperwork, Brij Bhushan is separate from the Federation since 5 months.

In Pakistan, former Prime Minister Imran addressed the country 18 hours after his release. He said that Pakistan’s democracy is hanging by a thread. Only the judiciary can save it. Imran thanked the judiciary and said that PTI workers were not involved in the violent protests in the country. PTI is the only party whose rallies are attended by women, children and families.

Imran speech was not telecasted on any major television channel. On the other hand, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has given an ultimatum to arrest those who spread violence in 72 hours. 101 year old father died 18 months ago, son used to keep talking in freezer
The incident is from the city of Landgraaf in the Netherlands. After the death of his father, an 82-year-old man kept his dead body in the freezer. The father was 101 years old at the time of his death. After 18 months the police came to know about it. The son told the police that he did not want to lose his father.

He did this so that he could talk to his father continuously. However, the police said that they are probing the death. The police did not give any statement regarding the son’s claim. However, a neighbor says that the 101-year-old father died of a tumour.
