Amala Paul said that in several movies, despite being a talented actor, Prithviraj was never given a character role which could explore his capabilities.

Prithviraj Sukumaran-starrer Aadujeevitham is one of the most anticipated movies in the South. The movie, in plans since 2009, will finally be released on March 28. Adapted from the Malayalam novel Aadujeevitham, the film is directed by the filmmaker Blessy. Apart from Prithviraj Sukumaran, actress Amala Paul will also be playing the lead role in the film. The movie, based on true incidents, will portray Prithviraj Sukumaran in the role of an immigrant labourer who was forced into slavery as a goatherd on a secluded farm in Saudi Arabia. He is playing the character of Najeeb from the novel. The makers recently released the trailer of the film. Prithviraj Sukumaran is shown in a never-seen-before avatar by Blessy. With a long beard and dusky skin, the actor is looking unrecognisable. Now, as the release date is coming near, the actors are currently attending events, audio launches, press meets and giving interviews to promote the movie.

During an interview with Radio Mango, the actress Amala Paul who is playing the lead heroine in the movie appreciated the commitment of the actor Prithviraj for Aadujeevitham and said that this movie has explored him as an actor. Prithviraj was so immersed in the character of Najeeb that the actress said that she was seeing Najeeb and not Prithviraj during the shooting of Aadujeevitham

“There are very few movies which have explored him as an actor, like Classmates and Indian Rupee,” added Amala Paul. The actress further said that in several movies, despite being a talented actor, Prithviraj was never given a character role which could explore his capabilities. But in Aadujeevitham, he grabbed a hold of the character to the extent that, “I was not able to tell Najeeb and Prithviraj apart. I was able to see Prithviraj only in the first schedule of the shoot”, Amala Paul added.

Opening up about her character, Sainu from Aadujeevitham, in an interview with OTTPlay, Amala Paul, the actress mentioned that her character is one that she will always treasure. The music of the movie is composed by Oscar-winning musician AR Rahman.
