Expectations are high from Kareena Kapoor, Tabu and Kriti Sanon starrer ‘Crew‘, which has hit the screens today. Directed by Rajesh Krishnan, the film also stars Diljit Dosanjh and Kapil Sharma in pivotal roles.
For its first day, the film has pocketed Rs 2.58 crore in the form of advance booking from the sale of 1,04,975 tickets, reports sacnilk. ‘Crew’ has 7649 shows across India and the maximum contribution for these figures is from Mumbai (55.41 Lakh), Delhi (56.77 Lakh) and Bengaluru (18.68 lakh).The biggest competitor for ‘Crew’ at the box office will be Hollywood film ‘Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire’.
The story of ‘Crew’ revolves around the life of three thick friends – Kareena, Tabu and Kriti, who work as cabin crew for an airlines and how they are caught in an expected situation. At the film’s event, Kriti had expressed that ‘Crew’ will break the myths about women-centric films. “Whenever a women-led film comes, then people think it would be serious or some issue being raised, or it would be out male-bashing or something like that. But here nothing is like that. You can see women can do comedy very well,” the actress stated.
