During the lockdown, Deepika Padukone took her culinary skills for a spin, much to the delight of her husband, actor Ranveer Singh, who happily documented her kitchen adventures on social media. But did you know that Deepika’s love for cooking goes way back?
Recently, the soon-to-be parent actress dug up a hilarious old video from her archives. Set in 2016 during her visit to Madrid, Spain, for the IIFA awards, the clip features Deepika teaming up with a Spanish chef to whip up a mouthwatering meal using local ingredients. And amidst the cooking chaos, Deepika recalled her quirky childhood attempt at cooking eggs with friends over an open fire.
She said, “When I was in school there was this incident when me and my friends decided to cook eggs. We took bricks and we created our own fire. We decided to bring some eggs from our apartments and everything was ready. The fire was ready, the ingredients were all done and the last step where we only had to put the eggs in…we were like where are the eggs? I was like let’s go up and get some more eggs and the moment I stood up I realised I sat on the eggs.”
On the work front, Deepika Padukone was recently seen in Fighter with Hrithik Roshan. The movie delved into the life of an Indian Air Force pilot, portrayed by Hrithik Roshan, and his journey to protect his nation and loved ones.
On her personal front, Deepika Padukone is also expecting her first child with actor-husband Ranveer Singh. The two announced their pregnancy in February this year when Deepika shared an adorable poster with “September 2024” written on it. The poster also had children’s clothes, toys and balloons as the border. Deepika and Ranveer have been married for over five years now.
