Delhi-NCR Weather: IMD predicts more rain as Yamuna is flowing above danger mark

New Delhi: As the water level in the Yamuna river is gradually receding and the water-logging situation in the national capital is improving, the Meteorological Department has predicted further rains in Delhi-NCR. The problem of water-logging persists in many parts of Delhi, while the Meteorological Department has predicted light to moderate rain.

According to the Meteorological Department, light to moderate rain is likely to occur at isolated places over Delhi and adjoining areas of NCR today. Thunderstorm accompanied with light to moderate rain very likely over Delhi NCR as well as adjoining areas of Mattanhel, Rewari, Narnaul, Bawal (Haryana) Bhiwadi, Khairthal, Kotputli (Rajasthan).

In Delhi, light rain is expected in Malviya Nagar, Kalkaji, Tughlakabad and IGNOU areas in the next few hours. “Light intensity rain/drizzle very likely at isolated places over Delhi (Bawana, Kanjhawala, Rohini, Mundaka, Najafgarh), NCR (Noida, Greater Noida) and adjoining areas,” the Met department said.

The Meteorological Department has also predicted that there will be light rain in Jaffarpur, Palam, IGI Airport, Ayanagar areas and Bahadurgarh, Aligarh areas in NCR, accompanied by light rain, thunder and gusty wind with a speed of 30 during the next 2 hours . Squally wind speed of 40 kmph is also likely in adjoining areas of Barwala, Jind, Hisar, Gohana, Hansi, Siwani, Meham, Tosham, Rohtak, Bhiwani, Charkhi of Delhi and NCR (Gurugram, Manesar).
