Hubli: Interior Design of New Parliament buildingInaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on 28 May, has already received accolades from across the world and Anil Angadi (Tigri) is happily absorbing her share of praise.

While Mumbai-based Narsee & Associates undertook the interior design of the new Parliament House, it was Anil who executed the artwork as the planning head of the highly prestigious project.
Anil comes from a family of businessmen. His grandfather Gundappa is a well-known businessman in the city.
Anil did his Diploma from JT Engineering College, Gadag and Civil Engineering from Nagarjuna College, Bangalore. He did MBA in Planning Project Management from NICMAR Institute, Pune. He is working with Narsee & Associates for the last four years.
Speaking to TOI, Anil said: “I was deputed as planning head to execute the interior design. My responsibility was to ensure quality work within the stipulated time.”
He said: “I feel proud when I see the Parliament House. It was my dream to spread the name of Mundargi across the country and it has finally come true.”
The new parliament is a four-storey building spread over 9.5 acres and the entire project was completed within 29 months despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Sharing the details of the project, Anil further said that Nagpur teak wood was used to carve the design elements, giving it an exquisite peacock feather look. He said that it is a real challenge to complete such a detailed work within the stipulated time.
He said, “The work which would have taken four to five years to complete, was done in one and a half years by working non-stop.”
Central Parliamentary Affairs Prahlad Joshi said, “It is great to hear that Kannadigas are also part of the construction of a unique new Parliament building. I have heard that there are two to three Kannadigas who have worked for the new Parliament in Delhi and I I congratulate him.” Minister.
