Last year, rumors claimed that Naga Chaitanya and his father, actor Nagarjuna reached out to Samantha Ruth Prabhu following her myositis diagnosis. Though not confirmed, the rumor spread like wildfire. In a recent interview, Naga Chaitanya was asked whether he reached out as a friend after Samantha’s health issues or even after the release of Shakuntalam, the Custody star tactfully sidestepped the question.
Chaitanya termed the divorce as ‘unfortunate’ and urged those constantly speaking about their separation to put it to rest. “Whatever happened was unfortunate. But everyone has gone their own way. We got divorced about a year ago. Court has given us a mutual consent divorce. So I don’t understand why Why do people bring up that topic again and again. The topic is over, I want people to move on from the topic and have a lot of respect. I don’t have regrets or anything, I have a lot of respect for my past , It has taught me a lot, and there are no regrets,” he told Behindwoods TV. ,” He added.
When asked how he dealt with the negativity and rumors written about him, Chaitanya said, “It is very sad. It’s okay if you write about me. But to involve a third person and second guess it with my life is very hurtful and it is wrong. They are insulting someone else without any fault. This is so wrong.”
Samantha and Naga Chaitanya have parted ways in 2021, announcing their split a few days before their fourth wedding anniversary. Chaitanya recently confirmed in an interview that the divorce came last year. Chaitanya is now rumored to be dating Sobhita Dhulipala.
Talking about the work front, the actor will be seen in the film Custody. The film is going to release this weekend.
