Expressing displeasure over alleged lewd remarks of BJP National Vice President Dilip Ghosh against the Chief Minister of West Bengal Mamata Banerjee Trinamool Congress general secretary Abhishek Banerjee has demanded his arrest at an event organized by a leading media group.

During the conversation in an interview, Ghosh had reportedly made some derogatory remarks about Banerjee’s family. Expressing grief over the statements of the former BJP state president, the Diamond Harbor Trinamool Congress MP on Wednesday tweeted, “Disgraceful. PM @narendramodi ji, time has come to arrest this loose tongue! Is this how leaders of @BJP4India talk about the only sitting woman Chief Minister of the country?” Trinamool Congress MP Kakoli Ghosh Dastidar in a video expressed surprise that such abusive words can be used by a political personality against a woman who happens to be the only woman Chief Minister of the country. Dastidar said he was wearing a black badge to protest Ghosh’s hate speech and demand for action against him. State BJP leaders could not be reached for comment.
