Filmmaker Homi Adajania has claimed that veteran actress Dimple Kapadia has left the shoot of ‘Saas, Bahu Aur Flamingo’. Talking about his working relationship with Dimple Kapadia, Homi Adajania said, “Every time we do a project, Dimple decides to leave a week before the shooting starts. She will call me because she Gets worried and acts like a kid who is acting in a movie.” his first world. And we’ve gone through this on Saas, Bahu and Flamingo as well, like we’ve gone through on all our projects. But this time, he took it a step further.
He further added, “We were shooting the dinner table scene where she announces that she is going to declare her heir the day after Janmashtami. I remember she got her take, but she was not happy about it. However, there was a lot of shooting left.” To do that scene he requested the associate director to allow him to redo the take which was provided to him but only after we had completed the pending scenes to be shot that day .
He further added, “I remember there was a couple scene that we were shooting and Varun had finished his work and he was driving to a hotel which was an hour away in the middle of the night. That Radhika had also not slept for 48 hours as she was coming straight from another shoot for this.”
“We almost thought we’d be done shooting for the day, at which point Dimple reminded us that she was being allowed one more take, opposite Dimple, but apparently she wasn’t happy with her performance. That’s why she wanted to do it. I’m also glad we did it because when Dimple finally got the hang of it, she just nailed it!”
“He’s the most fearless actor you could ever work with. But for some reason that night, he really felt he had a lot to offer and he didn’t give it to her.”
Talking about his meeting with Dimple the next morning after this shoot, Homi said, “So after this long shoot, we go back to our hotel and sleep and meet her in the morning for breakfast and she tells me That she actually went to the airport to fly back to Bombay – in the middle of the schedule because she didn’t want to do that anymore.”
“Fortunately, at some point she turned around and understood better. So yeah, a good job was done by Ms. Kapadia during the shoot.”
