DMK: ‘The symbol of two leaves has turned into a lotus’ | Coimbatore News – Times of India

Erode: Thoothukudi DMK MP K Kanimozhi launched Broadside on Thursday AIADMK Interim general secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami accused DMK workers of trying to sway voters and prevent them from attending opposition party meetings.
Campaigning for Congress candidate EVKS Elangovan in the Erode East Assembly by-election, Kanimozhi said EPS did not have the courage to face voters because of its poor performance during its rule. “Voters are supporting the DMK because they are not happy with the dubious record of the EPS,” he said.
The ousted coordinator of the EPS and the AIADMK, O Panneerselvam, were making concerted efforts to claim the ‘two leaves’ symbol for both their factions. “For me, the symbol of the two leaves has now changed to ‘lotus’ tamil Nadu,” she said. He said, “EPS is working on the whims of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.”
Kanimozhi said Elangovan’s victory was pre-decided, with the EPS trying to find out the reasons for his defeat. He appealed to the voters to teach a lesson to those who cheated Tamil Nadu and Tamil Nadu through EPS and this by-election.
