The Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) has sacked Pradeep Kurulkar, senior scientist and laboratory director. DRDO has taken this step after investigation in the matter of leaking information to Pakistani spies.
“The scientist has been removed from the post of laboratory director after our investigation proved that he was leaking sensitive information,” a DRDO official said on Friday. The DRDO started the investigation after receiving information against him from other agencies. He was attached to other offices.
The Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) of Maharashtra Police had arrested DRDO scientist Pradeep Kurulkar from Pune. According to the ATS, the probe has revealed contacts with spies of Pakistan’s intelligence agency through WhatsApp messages, voice calls, videos and social media.
