After the first song from the franchise Galliyan Returns, the makers of Ek Villain Returns delighted the audience with the release of their new romantic track Dil on Friday. Released by T-Series, the melodious track sees lead actors Arjun Kapoor and John Abraham shed tears for their on-screen boyfriends Tara Sutaria and Disha Patani. Without revealing the mystery surrounding the real villain of the film, the latest romantic song keeps you hooked till the end. All the major stars of the film have released the teaser of the song on their official Instagram accounts.
Announcing the release of the song, Arjun, John and Disha wrote, “A song for the love that blossoms inside you. Dil song from Ek Villain Returns is out, tune in now!” Tara wrote in the caption, “A song for every lover, everywhere…Ek Villain Returns’ heart is out, tune in now. Ek Villain Returns in theaters this Villain’s Day – 29th July 2022.” The music video begins with Arjun and Tara running on stage holding hands.
Later, the on-screen couple can be seen sharing a romantic moment. While the opening minute of the video focuses on Arjun and Tara, the second part shows John standing in front of a cross as it is raining heavily. Disha and John can be seen spending quality time together amidst the picturesque scene. The entire song comprises an amalgamation of beautiful bonds and enticing locations. However, towards the end, the track turns a darker tone, with Tara being seen scared and in tears. At this very moment Arjuna embraced her.
Apart from this, the video also shows John shedding tears for Disha in several scenes. Overall, the mesmerizing song is all about love, bond, relationship and feelings. While Raghav Chaitanya has lent his melodious voice to the catchy song, Kunal Verma has penned the lyrics and it has been composed by Kaushik and Guddi. For those who don’t know, Ek Villain Returns is a sequel to the 2014 film Ek Villain, which starred Sidharth Malhotra, Shraddha Kapoor and Riteish Deshmukh in the lead roles.
