In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, Emraan Hashmi spoke openly about his kiss scenes in movies, acknowledging that he faced criticism for them.

The actor discussed his decision to stop doing kissing scenes in films, attributing it to his wife’s perspective.

He explained that while he never personally advocated for such scenes, his established image led to their inclusion in many films. He expressed a desire to tone down such scenes but acknowledged their prevalence in his earlier work.

Hashmi reflected on his past films, acknowledging that in some instances, the inclusion of kissing scenes may have been unnecessary. He suggested that these scenes served as a cinematic awakening for audiences, but he personally faced criticism for them.

When asked if his wife Parveen Shahani felt insecure about his kissing scenes, Emraan acknowledged, “Of course she did, but not anymore because I don’t do those kinds of scenes anymore.”
Following this, Emraan disclosed that he had filmed a kissing scene for Showtime. He humorously remarked that his wife had not seen the show yet, implying that she might become insecure after watching it.
